An example Check-Up
What you walk away with, shown on one business.
After a free Check-Up you get two documents: a Vitals Report and a Treatment Plan. Here is what they look like.
The business below is fictional and its numbers are illustrative. The fix is real. I built it for my own practice first, and you can try it yourself.
Document 01
Sample · fictional business
Vitals Report
For: Example Plumbing Co. · owner-operator, 3 employees
What's working. Keep this.
- Your reputation brings the calls in. Most new customers say a neighbor recommended you.
- You close the jobs you talk to. When you reach a caller, you usually win the work.
- Your customers come back. Repeat business is steady.
We build on these. We don't touch what's already earning.
The leak we found
| Vital sign | Your estimate |
|---|---|
| Calls coming in each week | about 40 |
| Calls that go unanswered | about 8 a week |
| When they are missed | on a job, driving, or after hours |
| Missed callers who leave a voicemail | very few |
| Average job | about $350 |
| Missed callers you believe would have booked | about 1 in 4 |
The read: you win the customers you speak to. The ones you lose are the ones you never get to speak to. Someone with a leak calls, gets no answer, and calls the next plumber. By your own numbers that is about 2 jobs a week, or roughly $3,000 a month, going to whoever picked up.
These are the owner's own estimates from the conversation, not measurements.
What I would leave alone
Your scheduling, your pricing, and the way you run a job are in good shape. Nothing to fix there.
Document 02
Treatment Plan
The fix
Every missed call gets a text back, in your name, within seconds.
- 01 A customer calls. They hear a short greeting in your business's name, then your phone rings as it does today.
- 02 If you can't pick up, they get a text right away saying you'll help.
- 03 You get an alert on your phone with their number, so you know who to call back.
- 04 If they reply to the text, their reply comes straight to you.
Nothing about how you answer the phone changes. Your customers don't install anything. You never touch the technology.
How we'll know it worked
One measure: of the calls you miss, how many callers reply to the text. Today that number is zero, because nothing is sent. At 30 days you get a one-page results report against that measure.
What it costs
A real Treatment Plan names one fixed price, agreed in writing before any work begins. Most ongoing fixes land between $150 and $400 a month. Monthly billing starts only once you've watched it work in your own business.
When it goes live
Phone carriers require a business to register before it can send texts from its own number. I handle that registration for you. Its timing is set by the carriers, so I tell you the day it goes live and don't promise a date before then.
See it work
My first patient was my own practice.
I'm one person with a full day, so I miss calls too. Before prescribing this fix to anyone, I built it for my own business line. It's running right now, and you can try it.
-
Step 01
Call (216) 279-7161 from your cell phone.
-
Step 02
You'll hear a short greeting. Then let it ring.
-
Step 03
If I can't pick up, a text arrives on your phone within seconds.
The greeting you'll hear
“Thanks for calling BusinessAIMD. If we can't pick up, we'll text you right back at this number. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.”
If the call is answered, no text is sent. If I happen to pick up, tell me you're trying the demo and I'll let your next call ring out.
You receive at most one automated text per missed call. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. The full program details are in the SMS opt-in evidence and the Privacy Policy.
That's one example. Yours might be something else entirely.
Missed calls are a common leak, not the only one. I don't walk in holding this fix. I look first, and what I prescribe depends on what I find.
